About the role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Home Infusion, you will work outside the walls of a hospital setting in a growing specialized area of the nursing field. This role offers a balanced schedule and the opportunity to build strong one-on-one relationships with patients and their families.

• Challenge your clinical nursing (RN) skills with continuous training on leading-edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion. Certification and recertification expenses can be reimbursed for eligible RNs, such as Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion (CRNI®).
• Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in patients’ homes.
• Use your clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist patients in recovering in the comfort of their own homes.
• Conduct one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
• Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal customer service skills to interact with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners.

Schedule

This is a per diem position working approximately 10 hours per week. Hours are primarily during the day but may extend into evenings based on patient need. Telephonic on-call requirements include approximately four evenings per year, with no in-person visits during on-call shifts.

Coverage Area

• You will visit patients primarily within two hours of Plattsburgh in upstate NY.
• Additional hours are available if willing to drive south to the Saratoga Springs and Glens Falls area.
• You will earn your hourly rate for both patient and drive time.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current license in NY.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Strong IV insertion skills with a minimum of one year of infusion/IV experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word to document and track patient care activity.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Home healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
• CRNI certification is a plus but not required.

Education

RN Diploma, Associates, or B.S. degree in nursing.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $32.01 - $68.55 per hour. This range represents the base hourly rate for all positions in the job grade. The actual base salary offer will depend on factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant considerations. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range.
