About the role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in Home Infusion, you will work outside the walls of a hospital setting in a growing specialized area of nursing. This role offers a uniquely rewarding setting for RNs who possess strong clinical expertise, creative ideas, and deep compassion to treat patients in their homes. As a national leader in the home infusion field, Coram CVS/specialty infusion services seeks RNs who thrive in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a broad range of infusion therapies in patients’ homes.
• Deliver one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.
• Use your clinical IV experience and personal touch to assist patients recovering in the comfort of their own home.
• Interact with patients, physicians, pharmacists, and other partners with excellent written and verbal customer service skills.
• Travel up to two hours each way, on occasion, for patient visits.
• Receive continuous training on leading-edge technology and clinical requirements in specialty infusion.
• Participate in telephonic on-call rotations (1-2 weeks per year) with no in-person visits required during on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current compact license in TN.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Strong IV insertion skills with at least one year of infusion/IV experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word to document and track patient care activity.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of nursing experience.
• Home healthcare experience.
• CRNI certification (preferred but not required).

Education

RN Diploma, Associates, or B.S. degree in nursing.

Schedule

This is a flexible part-time schedule working approximately 25 hours per week, with occasional evening hours and weekend availability. Telephonic on-call rotations occur 1-2 weeks per year.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $26.01 - $56.14 per hour. This range represents the base hourly rate and may vary based on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay.

Coverage Area

Coverage area includes Knoxville and surrounding areas, with drives of up to two hours possible. You will earn your hourly rate for both patient and drive time, and a travel reimbursement program is available.
