Home Infusion Nurse Manager

About the role

This role will primarily work out of our Tampa or Sarasota office, M-F, 8:30a-5pm. It will require the candidate to help review and manage paperwork, educate and train our nursing teams, respond to patient inquiries related to nursing, and interact with our nurses and nurse agency partners. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, assumes the responsibility for clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Educating and informing patients IV and SC therapies in person and by phone
• Working with patients in a friendly, calm and efficient manner while maintaining safety
• Providing consultations to patients and/or family members, reviewing health history, reasons for therapy and completing all required forms (i.e., consent, assessments, and nursing notes)
• Prepares clinical and progress notes, helps coordinate services, and informs the physician and other personnel of changes in the patient’s conditions and needs
• Initiates appropriate preventative nursing procedures
• Working with our pharmacists to plan and order supplies
• Consulting with Prosper Infusion pharmacists and the Medical Director, as needed

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a RN in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school preferred.
• 2 years with infusion care preferred; At least 1 years of nursing supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, including excel.
• Able to independently work out of the Tampa or Sarasota office
• Attention to detail when it comes to reviewing nursing notes
