Position Overview
The Speech Therapist delivers quality patient care based on physician orders, including assessments, treatments, care planning, and family education.
Key Duties
- Provide prescribed speech therapy services
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Develop evaluation reports and treatment plans with goals and outcomes
- Maintain patient progress documentation
- Coordinate services and discharge planning with healthcare teams and families
- Serve as a resource for clinical staff and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
- Current, unrestricted SLP license in the practice state
- CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of recent experience in an acute care setting
