Position Overview

The Speech Therapist provides quality patient care by conducting assessments, administering prescribed treatments and therapies, and developing care plans tailored to individual needs. Responsibilities include communicating with the multidisciplinary team, managing supplies, coordinating care, and educating family members. The role involves documenting evaluations, creating and maintaining plans of care, and participating in discharge planning to ensure comprehensive service delivery.

Key Duties

• Deliver Speech Therapy services as prescribed by physicians.
• Follow policies, procedures, and adhere to all care standards, licensure, and legal requirements.
• Develop and document evaluations, treatment goals, and plans of care.
• Coordinate with healthcare team, patients, and families to ensure seamless care.
• Maintain confidentiality and effective communication across all parties.
• Serve as a clinical resource and provide progress reports to physicians and management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted SLP license in the practice state.
• CPR certification.
• Preferred: At least one year of recent experience in an acute care setting.
