Home Health Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

What You’ll Do

• Implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans with measurable goals under the supervision of a licensed PTE.
• Engage pediatric patients with fun, age-appropriate games and activities to keep them motivated.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
• Accurately document patient progress in a timely manner.

Who We’re Looking For

• Active PTA certification and valid Texas state license.
• Experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred.
• Energetic, patient-centered professional comfortable working in home-based settings.

Patient Population

• Children (ages 0–21) presenting with developmental delays, cerebral palsy, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and gross motor challenges.

Physical Requirements

• Maintain various postures (kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting) for extended periods.
• Walk and run for extended periods.
• Transition independently from sitting to standing.
• Utilize quick body movements as required by behavior intervention plans.
• Lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Transfer, position, and transport patients and adaptive equipment.
• Read written communication via computer, electronic devices, and paper.
• Perform data collection using electronic devices.
