Home Health OTA
The Occupational Therapy Assistant assists the Occupational Therapist with client-related activities and performs delegated procedures commensurate with education and training. Services are initiated and provided under the direction of a physician's plan of treatment.
About the Role
Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) job duties and responsibilities include participating as a team member who contributes to total client care under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Occupational Therapist. Duties include administering treatment programs, teaching activities of daily living, providing training in prosthetic devices and adaptive equipment, observing and reporting conditions, and documenting services.
Qualifications
- Currently licensed in the State of Florida
- CPR certification
- OSHA Certificate
- HIV/AIDS Certificate
- Alzheimer's Certificate
- Medical Errors Certificate
- Domestic Violence Certificate
- Human Trafficking Certificate
- At least 1+ year(s) professional or personal experience supporting individuals with disabilities, mental illnesses, or challenging behaviors
- Part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program
- Valid in-state driver’s license, current registration, and proof of insurance
- No more than 2 points on driving record within the last 3 years
- Part of Humana's Driver Safety Program
