Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the role involves assisting with initial assessments and developing individualized treatment programs for patients across all age groups, adhering to departmental policies and standards of care. Document patient progress, treatment courses, and ongoing needs. Administer appropriate modalities, exercises, and treatments according to policies. Maintain accurate progress notes and departmental records. Promote education within the department. Demonstrate knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of diverse age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the supervisor. Qualifications Include Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program. Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Preferred one year of experience but open to new graduates. BLS certification required before independent patient care. Strong knowledge of occupational therapy treatments and therapeutic activities.
