About the Role
The certified occupational therapist assistant functions under the direct supervision of the occupational therapist responsible for a specific patient's care. They assume responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an occupational therapist. Additionally, they are responsible for the care of patients treated by rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers, as well as the orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.

Education
- Associate's Degree from an approved Occupational Therapist Assistant Program (Required)
Work Experience
- No experience required
Licenses and Certifications
- COTA - Occupational Therapy Assistant Certified (Required, upon hire)
- Current licensure in the State of Georgia or current compact privileges in Georgia (Required, upon hire)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA (Required, upon hire)
