As a key member of our intake team, you will be responsible for processing new referrals, obtaining authorizations, and ensuring timely and efficient coordination of home healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Process new referrals in a timely and courteous fashion
- Enter Authorizations and Schedules in System
- Obtain Re-authorizations for Additional Homecare Services
- Follow-up on Requests From the PCP for Services
- Contact and Receive Authorizations from Insurance Company
- Contact Clinicians (PT's, OT's, ST's) to Schedule Services
- Request Home Health Orders From PCP's, Hospitals, and Specialist
- Review Charts for Procedural Accuracy and Efficiency
- Receive and Forward Faxes to Correct Departments
- Confirm Patient's PCP's
- Assist Patients with Any Questions, Comments, or Concerns
- Develop Good Working Relationships with PCP Staff and Insurance Companies
- Availability to work on call on weekends
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Outstanding Customer Service Skills
- Doctor Office Administrative Experience (Minimum 2-3 years)
