About the role
Haven Home Care is hiring in Summit County, Ohio. We offer various paths to becoming a Home Health Aide, ranging from those with existing certifications to those with no prior experience.
Responsibilities
Every day, you’ll go to people’s homes to help with daily life activities such as baths, dressing, meal preparation, light cleaning, running errands, and providing companionship. This is physically demanding work, and you should communicate any limitations you have regarding physical demands.
Requirements
- Must be able to drive a personal vehicle with valid insurance for work purposes.
- Available between 6 AM - 8 PM, typically 8 AM - 5 PM.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
Qualifications
- STNA License (active or expired): $18/hour, no testing required.
- HHA Certificate (30+ hours): $16-18/hour, based on interview, requires passing an HHA test.
- Experience working under an RN or LPN: $16-18/hour, based on interview, requires verification of experience.
- No experience: $16/hour, requires completing a free 32-hour online HHA training course.
Benefits
- Raises: 90-day, 1-year, and 2-year reviews leading to potential increases of up to $2.00/hour.
- Bonuses: $100 after 30 days with perfect attendance, $300 for referring a new Home Health Aide, and $75-$1,500 for referring a private pay client.
- Flexible scheduling: Clients are matched based on your preferences regarding pet presence, smoking, travel distance, days, and times.
Pay
- STNA: $18/hour
- HHA Certificate or Experience: $16-18/hour based on interview
- Free Training: $16/hour
- Private pay client referral: HHA: $19/hour, STNA: $20/hour
Schedule
Shift lengths vary, ranging from 2-3 hours to 8 hours. Most Home Health Aides have 2-4 regular clients each week, and additional fill-in shifts are available.
