About Right At Home East Bay

As part of Right at Home — a global leader in home care since 1995 with over 330 million hours of care delivered worldwide — our local East Bay office proudly serves 20+ cities, including Walnut Creek, Danville, Pleasanton, Livermore, and Tracy. We are a proud recipient of the 2026 “Great Place to Work®” award. As a specialized high-acuity home care provider, our work has a direct and meaningful impact every single day. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to improve the quality of life for those we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and cold-call new referral sources — walk in, introduce Right at Home, and open doors with hospitals, skilled nursing and sub-acute facilities, rehabs, home health, hospice, assisted living, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and more.
  • Prioritize high-yield referral sources (such as hospitals, SNFs, and rehabs) while cultivating community partners across the territory.
  • Obtain, qualify, and close leads — convert relationships into referrals and referrals into service starts.
  • Build and maintain a base of primary accounts that reliably refer month after month.
  • Run events and deliver group presentations and in-services to referral partners and community audiences (e.g., dementia education at senior living communities).
  • Conduct client consultations and guide families through care options with empathy and clarity.
  • Solve referral partners' problems, positioning Right at Home as a strategic partner — not just asking for referrals.
  • Track all activity, referral sources, and performance metrics in our CRM and submit weekly activity and pipeline reports.
  • Partner with internal teams (scheduling, care coordination, recruiting) to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Monitor local market trends and provide market and pricing input to leadership.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of outside sales or business development experience in any industry, with a track record of hitting goals. Healthcare, home care, home health, hospice, or senior-services exposure is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Comfortable and effective with cold calling and in-person prospecting; you handle rejection well and keep going.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and hustler — you treat your territory like your own business and manage your own time and schedule.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and public-speaking skills; confident in front of both a discharge planner and a room of families.
  • CRM proficiency and the discipline to track activity and use data to prioritize.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience and demonstrated results.
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable, insured personal vehicle (this role is 60%+ in the field).

Skills

  • A genuine spark and joy for connecting with people — it's the trait our top performers share
  • A strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership
  • A “value-first,” problem-solver's approach to building relationships
  • Resilience and a thick skin — you don't take “no” personally
  • Integrity and professionalism in every interaction
  • Comfortable being consistently on the road, in the field, 60%+ of the time

Why You Will Love It Here

This role blends heart and hustle. You'll build your own book of business, grow professionally, and improve lives every day. There's a clear path to grow into a senior business development or leadership role as business expands. Join us in improving the quality of life for those we serve — one client, one caregiver, and one community at a time.
