Histology Technician PRN (32762)

Position purpose The Histology Technician’s main responsibility is to perform all functions in the histology lab to include embedding, microtomy, staining and filing. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Must be proficient in the following areas:EmbeddingMicrotomyRoutine StainingSpecial Staining/immunohistochemistryFile slides, block and paperwork in alpha-numeric orderEquipment use and quality controlPerform related duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications Education: HT or HTL (ASCP) or eligible required. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in histology preferred. Requirements For PRN Status PRN employees must not work more than 29 hours per week or 1000 hours per year.PRN employees must not work a reoccurring schedule.
