Hire Salesforce Technical Leads

ForceFolks · Lead, SD · 3 wk ago
Part-time

About the role

A Salesforce technical lead is the senior engineer accountable for how a build is delivered: standards, patterns, code review, release process, and day-to-day technical decisions. They sit between the architect's design and the developers' work, keeping the two aligned. ForceFolks technical leads are hands-on seniors who can both write code and lead a team.

When to hire

Hire a Technical Lead when:

  • Multiple developers need standards and direction.
  • A program needs one person accountable for the build.
  • Code quality, review, and releases need ownership.
  • Your team is strong but lacks senior technical leadership.
  • An architect set the design and someone must enforce it.

Signs you need a Salesforce technical lead

  • Developers without direction: Inconsistent code and patterns. A tech lead sets and enforces standards.
  • No code review or release discipline: Quality slips and deploys break. We bring review and CI/CD ownership.
  • Design that drifts in build: Architecture erodes under deadline pressure. A tech lead keeps the build true to it.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for developers and admins.
  • Set and enforce coding standards and patterns (Apex, LWC).
  • Own code review and quality gates.
  • Manage release & DevOps (CI/CD, Copado).
  • Handle hands-on build of the most complex parts.
  • Support estimation and sprint planning.
  • Coordinate integrations.
  • Mentor and upskill your team.

Engagement model

  • Full-time or part-time — match capacity to the workload.
  • Join your existing team — your tools, process, and standups.
  • Work with internal staff — alongside your admins and developers.
  • Support managed services — blend with our delivery where useful.
  • Scale to a pod — add roles to form a delivery team.
  • Flexible duration — for a project, a phase, or ongoing.

Who this is for

  • Programs with multiple developers.
  • Teams lacking senior technical leadership.
  • Owners enforcing an architecture.

When ForceFolks is a strong fit

  • You want a hands-on senior leading the build.
  • You need standards and release discipline.
  • You value code quality and mentoring.

When ForceFolks may not be the right fit

  • You only need extra hands, not leadership (consider a developer).
  • You need full architecture (consider an architect).

FAQ

What's the difference between a technical lead and an architect?

An architect owns the design; a technical lead owns delivering it — standards, review, and hands-on build. Larger programs use both; smaller ones may combine them in one senior person.

Will the tech lead write code?

Yes. Our technical leads are hands-on — they take the hardest parts of the build while guiding the rest of the team.

Can a tech lead run our DevOps?

Yes — source control, CI/CD, and release governance (including Copado) are core to the role.
