Responsibilities

• Coding and abstracting for physician billing using software and coding books based on current work assignment.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of coding experience preferred.
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification through AHIMA must be obtained within twelve months of hire.
• Caregivers performing work remotely are permitted to live in the following states: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Florida, and Texas.

As a HIM Certified Coder, you will be responsible for coding and abstracting for physician billing using software and coding books according to your assigned tasks.

To qualify for this position, applicants should be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicate effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy in their work. A high school diploma or GED is required, with two years of coding experience being preferred. Additionally, a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification through AHIMA must be obtained within twelve months of starting the job. Caregivers who work remotely are permitted to reside in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Florida, or Texas. Applicants from other states may apply but will need to relocate to one of these states within 60 days of their employment date.
