Responsibilities

• Bring relationships and experience delivering projects for the Iowa Department of Transportation
• Develop and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and/or the public
• Work on challenging projects where you’ll showcase your expertise with planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects
• Grow professionally with us because we’ll rise together on impactful projects with a high degree of technical complexity from the concept stage through detailed design and construction services
• Build a multidiscipline design team to deliver tasks within established schedules & budgets
• Help advance our business development strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or a related discipline
• Professional engineering (PE) licensure in the State of Iowa
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to clients, agencies, and the public
• Demonstrated progressive experience as an engineer and a project manager in the transportation design field
• Skilled in developing and delivering technical presentations to stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and/or the public
• Initiative and ability to work independently as a self-starter
• Well-rounded technical design skills encompassing all contributing disciplines

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in transportation planning or a closely related field
• Experience delivering projects for the South Dakota Department of Transportation and professional licensure in South Dakota or the ability to obtain licensure
• Experience utilizing Bentley design software such as Open Roads Designer
• Experience in assisting with business development efforts

• Strong client facing project manager with skills delivering design projects and can bring a team together

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
