About the role

We are looking for a Highway Design Coordinator who can work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a BS in Civil Engineering or a related field, and a strong commitment to our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural infrastructure projects.
  • Preparing calculations, reports, memos, cost estimates, and other documentation are also essential functions of the position.
  • Taking responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction estimates.
  • Designing work, primarily using Civil3, may include horizontal and vertical alignment for roadways, intersection/interchange layout, cross sections, approach design, drainage calculations, utility plans, and other elements.
  • Providing assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications and calculations.
  • Working with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver transportation infrastructure projects of various sizes and complexity.
  • Performing other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Civil3 software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay

Salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
