Highway Design Engineer

About the role

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, seeks a Highway Design Engineer to join our Delaware team. This position involves performing engineering tasks in transportation and highway engineering, preparing engineering documents, and assisting in construction cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Apply relevant design criteria, standards, and processes to engineering tasks
• Work on multiple design projects
• Prepare engineering documents for advertisement and construction
• Assist in the preparation of construction cost estimates

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• EIT Certification preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MicroStation, Inroads or Geopak
• Experience with State Agency Transportation Departments

Qualifications

• 0 to 3 years of design experience in highway transportation field
• Relevant internship experience or college coursework may be considered

Schedule

This is an in-office position based in Dover or New Castle, DE.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
