High Voltage/Low Voltage Electrician Specialist
About the Role
As a CBRE High Voltage/Low Voltage Specialist, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for a large manufacturing facility. This position is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. The role is located in Chester, VA, with some travel required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance.
- Perform new installations of equipment.
- Create Standards of Work (SOW's) and provide training to Electricians and Engineers on processes.
- Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely.
- Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Demonstrate broad knowledge of your own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.

- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
- Valid Driver's license required.
- Journeyman License is desired.
- Meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
