What You Will Do
- Implement and adhere to the principles of Positive Operational Culture
- Provide instructional services to students
- Work collaboratively with staff in a supportive fashion
- Educate students on various methodologies and research related to learning and working with at-risk, high school aged youth
- Manage and teach to various learning styles
- Communicate effectively with staff and students
- Use technology as an educational tool
- Establish a teaching rapport with students
- Diagnose, prescribe, and evaluate student progress
- Collaborate with staff to deliver a consistent curriculum
- Confront inappropriate behavior appropriately
- Accept additional tasks as assigned
Requirements
- A current and valid Indiana Teaching License pertaining to the subjects (s) being taught
- Licensed for grades 5-12 or 9-12 in subject matter to be taught
- Experience working with those who have just graduated on obtaining Emergency permits
- Knowledge of instructional strategies and their application to curriculum delivery and assessment
- Understanding of various methodologies and research related to learning and working with at-risk, high school aged youth
- Effective classroom management techniques and behavioral management styles
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to establish a teaching rapport with students
