High School Math Teacher

About the role

MSAD 55 is seeking a dynamic Mathematics Teacher at Sacopee Valley High School in Hiram, Maine. This position is anticipated to teach Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Introduction to Statistics, and Geometry.

Responsibilities

• Teach Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Introduction to Statistics, and Geometry
• Build positive relationships with students and support their academic success
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and administration
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of all learners

Requirements

• Prior successful experience as a high school level mathematics teacher or student teaching experience
• Experience building positive relationships with students and supporting student success
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of differentiating instruction to meet the various needs of all learners
• Current Maine 7-12/6-12 Mathematics Certification (300S)

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field preferred
• Strong commitment to educational reform and teacher leadership
• Experience with technology integration in the classroom

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and administration
• Proficiency in differentiated instruction
• Experience with technology integration
