About the role
MSAD 55 is seeking a dynamic Mathematics Teacher at Sacopee Valley High School in Hiram, Maine. This position is anticipated to teach Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Introduction to Statistics, and Geometry.
Responsibilities
- Teach Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Introduction to Statistics, and Geometry
- Build positive relationships with students and support their academic success
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and administration
- Differentiate instruction to meet the varied needs of all learners
Requirements
- Prior successful experience as a high school level mathematics teacher or student teaching experience
- Experience building positive relationships with students and supporting student success
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively
- Knowledge of differentiating instruction to meet the various needs of all learners
- Current Maine 7-12/6-12 Mathematics Certification (300S)
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related field preferred
- Strong commitment to educational reform and teacher leadership
- Experience with technology integration in the classroom
