High School ESports Coach/Sponsor

Job Description

The High School ESports Coach/Sponsor position at Union R-XI School District is responsible for leading and managing the esports program. This includes organizing and facilitating team practices, tournaments, and competitions. The coach/sponsor will also serve as a mentor and advisor to students, ensuring they adhere to school policies and conduct themselves appropriately.

Responsibilities include:

• Organizing and conducting team practices and tournaments
• Mentoring and advising students on academic and personal matters
• Collaborating with other school staff to ensure compliance with district policies
• Developing and implementing training programs for new players
• Managing team finances and equipment

Requirements include:

• A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
• Experience coaching or mentoring high school students
• Knowledge of current esports trends and technologies
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
