About the role
A typical day as a Host includes:
- Greeting guests with a welcoming smile and providing fast, friendly service
- Managing reservations and waitlists, offering estimated wait times
- Assigning and escorting guests to their tables and lanes
- Setting up the dining room area and venue, moving furniture when needed
- Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
- Working collaboratively with other hosts, servers, bartenders, support staff, and management
- Remembering and using guests’ names to build loyalty
- Maintaining a clean and stocked work area
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
This role may be a good fit if you have:
- At least 1 year of hosting experience in a fast-paced bar or restaurant
- A neat and professional appearance
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, the public, and coworkers
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A friendly, welcoming demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
- Capability to stand for long hours in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Non-typical office hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (weekend availability is required)
