High Line Worker Journeyman

About the role

LCRA's Line Operations group is seeking a Journeyman to join the High Line Workers team in Marble Falls. At an expert level, you will construct, maintain, and repair electric transmission lines across the western district while guiding team members to accomplish tasks safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Guide and direct less‑experienced team members and effectively handle multiple tasks in support of, or in lieu of, the supervisor.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as bucket trucks, boom trucks, winch trucks, and other aerial work apparatus.
• Perform live‑line maintenance with hot‑sticks on energized transmission lines.
• Climb wood and steel transmission structures to extreme heights using proper safety equipment.
• Communicate with management, customers, and landowners through both verbal and written methods.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction or maintenance work, or related field involving work at heights.
• Class A Texas commercial driver’s license.
