About the role
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of heifer management, including feeding and nutrition, herd health, and reproduction programs such as synchronization and artificial insemination.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of daily livestock care
- Assisting with facility maintenance and upgrades
- Contributing to efficient herd operations
Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of reproduction, including AI and synchronization programs (AI proficiency required)
- Practical experience in herd health, animal handling, and general livestock husbandry
- Ability to interpret and utilize data from herd management software
- Willingness to learn new systems, technologies, and procedures
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a small team
- Effective communication and record-keeping skills
