About the role

The Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the Emory University Department of Pediatrics invite applications for a one-year limited term appointment to the rank of Senior Associate or Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary clinical service and ensure that patients cared for by you receive only the highest quality care.
• Collaborate with other members of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University Department of Pediatrics, especially the Aflac Cancer & Blood Disorders Center, in building multi-disciplinary research projects.
• Play a role in the education and training program of the pediatric Hem/Onc/BMT Division, including access to and involvement with medical students, residents, fellows, and occasionally physicians in practice.

Requirements

• MD, MD/PhD, or DO degrees.
• Must be Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology.
• Must be currently licensed as a physician and eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of Georgia.
• A history of clinical excellence/achievement.
• A strong history of mentorship of trainees and junior faculty to support growth in research and scholarship.

Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option.
