About the role
Provides direct patient care in a medical/physician office setting within the Hematology Clinic, utilizing nursing processes and adhering to organizational policies and standards.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessments to optimize outcomes.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient conditions, collaborating across disciplines for coordinated care, transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
- Educates patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and conditions.
- Delegates tasks to ancillary staff and may precept students and new hires.
- Utilizes critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid RN licensure and ONS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum six months of nursing experience.
- Current BLS certification; CPR card valid through sixty days of hire.
