Hematologist/Oncologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist to provide outpatient care within a large hospital system featuring a dedicated cancer center. The role involves managing 14-16 adult patients daily, conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing hematologic and oncologic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in the Epic EMR system.
• Provide comprehensive outpatient services.
• Participate in rotating call coverage (1:3 schedule).
• Obtain hospital privileges and maintain prescriptive authority.

Requirements

• Board certification in Hematology/Oncology.
• Clinical expertise in hematology and oncology.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Support & Schedule

• Day shift schedule.
• Support staff includes Medical Assistants (MAs) and Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners (PAs/NPs).
