Hematologist/Oncologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care in a large hospital system with a dedicated cancer center. Manage a caseload of 14-16 adult patients daily, including evaluations and developing personalized treatment plans.

Utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management. Collaborate with support staff including MAs, PAs, and NPs. Deliver general hematology and oncology treatments, primarily in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans
• Manage daily caseload of 14-16 adult patients
• Document and manage patient records using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with medical assistants, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners
• Provide general hematology and oncology treatments in an outpatient setting

Requirements

• Board certification in Hematology/Oncology
• Prescriptive authority required
• Hospital privileges essential

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotating call coverage on a 1:3 schedule.
