Hematologist/Oncologist - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

This position is for a licensed and board-certified Hematologist/Oncologist providing inpatient and outpatient care across three central Georgia locations. The clinician will manage a patient load of 20-25 adults daily, excluding procedures such as bone marrow transplants and acute leukemia. Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) will perform biopsies under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general hematology and oncology services
• Participate in a call rotation
• Support clinical operations in a coordinated care environment

Support staff includes six APPs and registered nurse physician support, ensuring comprehensive patient management.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology
• Recent clinical experience within the past year
• Georgia medical license (preferred)
• Ability to handle 20-25 new and follow-up patients daily
