About the role
Chrysalis of Logan, UT is seeking to hire a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / In-Home Caregiver. This entry-level position supports individuals with developmental disabilities to lead self-directed, meaningful lives. Shifts include full-time or part-time swing and graveyard shifts.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities such as medication administration, bathing, hygiene, basic first aid, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, budgeting, housekeeping, and home maintenance.
- Mentor and teach participants new skills and achieve their goals, including life skills training in areas such as employment, money management, and relationship-building.
- Aid participants in finding employment and recreational activities they enjoy.
- Report any concerns about health and safety and maintain accurate documentation.
- Work with a dynamic team and find the rewarding work of supporting people with developmental disabilities to live amazing lives according to their own needs and desires.
Qualifications
- Heart for people with developmental disabilities
- No experience necessary, but experience working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus and will be trained.
- Punctual and reliable
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively
- Calm and patient
Benefits

Pay
The starting wage for this entry-level position is $15/hr.
Schedule
We have various full-time and part-time shifts available including a swing shift from 3:00 pm to midnight, a graveyard shift from 12:00 am to 9:00 am, and a part-time swing shifts throughout the afternoon. These shifts are some of the more common shifts but we have more options and can discuss scheduling in the interview.
