Companion/Buddy for People with Disabilities

About the role

BAYADA Habilitation is currently seeking a Habilitation Technician to work as a Caregiver for individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.
• Aid with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments.
• Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements, giving people the space to grow.
• Opportunity to enhance caregiving skills with support from our on-staff nurse and managers.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed.

Requirements

• One year experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or development disabilities.
• Ability to transport clients to community activities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.

Pay

Weekly; $20 and up based on experience.

Schedule

Weekdays, Weekends available.

Current Habilitation Technician / Direct Support Professional openings in the following locations: Hilo, Keaau, Mt View, Pepeekeo, Ocean View, Hawi, Kailua-Kona, Kealakekua.
