About the role
The Helpdesk I is responsible for providing technical support to customers via phone, email, and chat. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to troubleshoot common issues.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer inquiries and requests for assistance
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues using knowledge base and troubleshooting tools
- Document and escalate complex issues to higher levels of support
- Provide training and support to end-users on software and hardware
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a helpdesk or customer service role
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic understanding of computer systems and networking
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of common IT support tools and software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations professionally
