About the role

One Step Forward is hiring experienced ABA Therapists and Behavior Technicians for in-home opportunities in Lodi, South Hackensack, Garfield, and the surrounding Hawthorne area. We’re looking for individuals who enjoy working directly with children with autism and want to be part of their progress—from developing new communication skills to becoming more independent in everyday activities. Our current opportunities offer weekday afternoon and early evening hours, with ongoing BCBA supervision and support from our clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Providing one on one ABA therapy in the child's home
• Teaching communication, social, play, and daily living skills
• Supporting independence and positive behavior
• Helping children navigate routines and transitions
• Implementing individualized skill acquisition and behavior intervention programs
• Using reinforcement and prompting strategies
• Collecting accurate data throughout sessions
• Completing electronic session documentation
• Communicating with your supervising BCBA about client progress

Requirements

• Previous ABA experience required
• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities
• Background as an ABA Therapist, Behavior Technician, RBT, paraprofessional, special education aide, or similar role
• Ability to follow individualized treatment plans
• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule
• Reliable transportation for in home sessions

Pay

$22–$32 per hour based on experience

Schedule

Weekday after school and early evening hours.
