Help Children Thrive ABA Therapy

Want to spend your afternoons doing work where you can actually see the progress you're helping create? One Step Forward is looking for an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician to provide one on one ABA services to children with autism in Newark. This is a part time opportunity for someone with previous ABA experience who enjoys working directly with children and wants the support of an experienced clinical team while building a consistent schedule. Pay: $22–$32 per hour based on experience Be Part of a Child's Progress ABA therapy is built around the small steps that lead to meaningful changes. During your sessions, you may help a child learn to communicate a need, participate in a daily routine, interact with others, develop greater independence, or replace challenging behaviors with more appropriate skills. You'll follow an individualized treatment program developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), while building a consistent relationship with the child you work with. Your Role As an ABA Therapist / Behavior Technician, you will: Provide one on one in home ABA therapyImplement individualized treatment goals developed by a BCBAWork on communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skillsImplement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programsFollow behavior intervention plansUse evidence based ABA strategies throughout sessionsCollect accurate data to monitor progressComplete electronic session documentationCommunicate with your supervising BCBA regarding client progress Hours and Availability Current opportunities are primarily during weekday afternoon and early evening hours. We're looking for someone who can maintain a consistent weekly schedule with their client. Consistency is important for building rapport and supporting progress toward treatment goals. We're looking for someone who is dependable, professional, comfortable working independently with a child and family, and committed to maintaining their scheduled sessions.
