About the role
One Step Forward is hiring an ABA Therapist to provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in Newark and surrounding Essex County communities. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with children while helping them build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills through evidence-based ABA programs. We are looking for motivated professionals who are passionate about helping children make meaningful progress.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy sessions
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Teach communication, social, adaptive, and daily living skills
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs
- Utilize ABA strategies including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and behavior intervention techniques
- Collect accurate session data and complete detailed session notes
- Collaborate with supervising BCBA regarding treatment progress and goals
