Help Desk Student Assistant
Job Description
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an entry-level Help Desk Student Assistant to join the Computing Help Desk team under Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT.
This position has a $15 per hour starting rate of pay. This position is centrally located on UF's campus at the HUB, 1765 Stadium Road, and provides assistance via phone, email, live chat, and walk-in consulting.
UF Information Technology (UFIT) enables teaching, learning, research, and service on campus and across the region with state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems, including SEC and SUS universities, and the opportunity to teach using HiPerGator.
About the Role
The Computing Help Desk team under Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT, is responsible for delivering excellent client service for the UF community of faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with Gatorlink account issues such as account creation, password resets, and multi-factor authentication.
- Assisting with email, wireless, and VPN support.
- Helping triage issues to better assist faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- UF Student Assistant. This position is open to all students eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience.
- Eagerness and ability to learn.
- Comfortable with technology.
- Ability to commit to working through Summer 2027 or beyond.
