Student Desk Assistant
Overview
Student Affairs at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Student Desk Assistant!
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors to our suite in a cheerful and welcoming manner
- Assist visitors with questions or directions as needed
- Answer the desk phone in a cheerful and welcoming manner
- Assist callers with inquiries and direct them to the correct resources as needed
- Deliver deposits to Student Financial Services
- Deliver items to other offices on campus
- Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings
- Arrive promptly for shifts, dressed appropriately, presenting a professional appearance and enthusiastic team attitude
Qualifications
- Available to work the remainder of the Summer Semester preferred
- Must be available to work the Fall Semester
- Currently enrolled student at Auburn University
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0
Expectations
- Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- An outgoing person willing to engage with a diverse customer population
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Able to work in team environment
- Work an average of 10 hours per week
- Previous customer service work experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of campus information
- Highly skilled in greeting visitors and directing them to the right person or department
