Heavy Equipment Operations and Management Instructor (Project Estimation Specialist)

About the role

A full-time, 9-month annual contract, exempt, and benefit eligible Instructor position for the Heavy Equipment Operations & Management Program is available.

Responsibilities

• Teach and train students in heavy equipment operations and management.
• Conduct project estimation and provide guidance on industry standards and safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of experience in the heavy equipment operations industry.
• Excellent communications, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
• A bachelor's degree or the willingness to earn one.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior teaching/training experience in a hands-on or vocational setting.
• Five or more years of related work experience in Construction Estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and construction estimating software.
• Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and materials.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform Quantity takeoffs and cost modeling.
