Heavy Duty Truck Sales Representative
About the role
TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Duty Truck Sales Representative for our Belgrade or Great Falls location. Ideal candidates should have experience in truck and/or equipment sales and a knowledge of the truck industry.
Responsibilities
- Generate and increase sales of heavy duty trucks, including used, refurbished, and new trucks within their defined area of responsibility.
- Provide a high quality level of service to both outside customers and internal departments.
- Participate in trade shows and conventions while working in conjunction with other sales staff and marketing team members.
- Achieve the sales and gross profit objectives set by their manager.
- Call on prospective customers and assigned accounts within their assigned territory.
- Explain features and demonstrate operation of vehicles in the showroom or on the road.
- Compute and quote sales prices, including tax, trade-in allowances, and financing requirements for vehicle payments.
- Prepare sales orders and contracts.
- Arrange for delivery and complete all warranty registrations for vehicles.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Identify and develop new opportunities for all of TranSource product lines.
- Display an ongoing effort to learn about the industry, the company, and the products TTE sells.
- Complete assigned training in a timely manner.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Commit to 100% customer satisfaction.
- Show solid experience in call control, account development, time and territory management.
- Aptitude for sales.
- Prior sales experience in the trucking or construction industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to manage customer expectations.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office products and software, particularly Microsoft Outlook.
- Insurable driving record, CDL, and ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license, an insurable driving record, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
