Coordinates and expedites the flow of material, parts, and assemblies to support Hall Drilling maintenance requirements in accordance with established policies and procedures. Requisitions parts and supplies, establishes delivery priorities, and ensures timely delivery of required parts. Verifies correctness and serviceability of delivered parts.
Responsibilities
- Processes supply requests from maintenance technicians
- Assists maintenance technicians in researching parts requests and performs research/validation for backordered non-filled issue requests
- Coordinates, arranges, and expedites the flow of material and parts between locations
- Evaluates inventory levels and originates purchase orders to vendors for parts and services as required
- Performs clerical and physical tasks related to shipping and receiving parts and equipment
- Verifies correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items received with purchase orders and other shipping documents; checks for damaged items and ensures proper identification in inventory
- Obtains estimates and price details from vendors to compare costs
- Maintains an up-to-date parts price list
- Keeps shop and work area clean and orderly
- Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
- Corrects unsafe conditions in the work area and reports uncorrectable conditions to the Fleet Manager immediately
- Performs related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related heavy-duty truck parts experience preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organizational and computer skills
- Ability to interact courteously and professionally with customers and company employees
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and occasionally stressful environment
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record verified by Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Must successfully pass a urine drug screen, hair follicle test, and background screening
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when scheduled
- Dependable attendance
Physical Demands
- Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
- Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform required tasks
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance
- Work outside and inside, around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, and exhaust fumes
