Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections on trucks and heavy equipment
- Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, suspensions, and exhaust systems
- Perform preventative maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, tune-ups)
Requirements
- 3+ consecutive years of heavy duty/truck mechanic experience
- CDJR experience is preferred; prior diesel experience is required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
- Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
- Teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively
- Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures, and specifications
- Valid driver's license and meet insurability guidelines
Qualifications
- CDJR experience is preferred
