HEAVY DUTY EQUIPMENT/ TRUCK MECHANIC (SWING SHIFT)

Responsibilities

  • Help maintain and repair construction trucks and equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding
  • May perform service repairs in the field
  • May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks/trailers, construction equipment and large mining machines
  • Complete all paperwork that may be necessary
  • Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed
  • Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

  • Must have own journeyman hand tools, but Knife River does provide large tools and has a replacement policy
  • Must have the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts and weekends

Qualifications

  • Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks, trailers and equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Welding and fabrication experience desirable
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen

Skills

  • Professional and courteous attitude towards all team members

Pay

$26.91-$47.11/Hr.
Wages reflect a $3.00 swing-shift differential

Schedule

Hours: 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM
