Heavy Duty Environmental Services Attendant - Full Time

About the role

• Mixes chemicals and operates carpet shampooer and buffer.
• Moves furniture and cleans assigned area.
• Maintains and cleans machines after use.
• Maintains general cleaning of the entire casino, excluding kitchen and bar areas.
• Transports all trash.
• Reports any problems to EVS Supervisor.
• Adheres to all company, department policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow team members.
• Performs any and all duties as assigned by your Supervisor or a member of management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and fellow team members.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• The ability to operate sweeping and shampooing equipment.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
