The Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, staffed by surgeons from Stanford University School of Medicine, is part of one of North America's largest pediatric cardiothoracic surgical heart programs. Comprehensive cardiovascular care at The Willson Heart Center encompasses congenital heart disease and various defects. Our pediatric cardiology team tailors personalized treatment plans for a wide range of heart conditions, from common to rare and complex cases. About the Role

The Heart Center Program Manager RN plays a vital role in the multidisciplinary team providing expert nursing care for patients with a broad range of complex cardiac conditions across the continuum of care. This position partners with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, nurses and ancillary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care. The Program Manager serves as the primary liaison for patients, families, and healthcare providers, facilitating communication and ensuring seamless coordination of care in inpatient, procedural, post-discharge and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient navigation throughout the cardiac care journey.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Support quality and regulatory initiatives.
• Monitor program outcomes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care plans.
• Promote evidence-based cardiovascular practices.
• Improve outcomes and enhance access to care.
• Help patients achieve their highest level of cardiovascular health.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Nursing or Health Care Related Field) or equivalent (required).
• RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required).
• BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association (required).
• National Certification in area of specialty (preferred).
• Minimum three (3) years clinical, leadership, and/or project management experience (required).

Pay

Compensation Range: $54.56 - $77.84 per hour.
