Schedule: Sunday-Saturday, Variable 8hr shifts. Must be available to be part of team rotation to be on-call weekends and holidays throughout the year. Position Summary: The Hearing Screening Aide provides newborn hearing screening assessments to all inpatients and outpatients as directed by a licensed audiologist and acts in accordance with CCS guidelines and Department Policies and Procedures. Demonstrates commitment to a patient family focused model of care. The Hearing Screening Aide will also assist with maintenance and upkeep of clinic environment and operations such as ordering supplies, cleaning/prepping exam rooms, etc. Applicants should feel comfortable going into the NICU to conduct hearing screenings on critically ill infants even if applicant does not have direct hearing screening experience, needs to be feel comfortable in a medical inpatient setting. Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year of clinical experience with infants and newborns; familiarity with use of personal computers. Typing, data entry, organizational and strong communication skills. Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent, or minimum of 2 years of direct clinical work experience performing newborn hearing screenings. American Heart Association BLS certification.
