About the role

Join us at The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Hearing Instrument Specialist. Work alongside a collaborative team of patient-focused colleagues and physicians in our thriving Ear, Nose & Throat East at Gateway Clinic in East Portland.

Responsibilities

  • Provides services for the testing, selection and fitting of hearing instruments.
  • Performs hearing aid consults and audiograms.
  • Programs and fits hearing aids and takes ear mold impressions.
  • Performs hearing aid checks.
  • Completes administrative duties as necessary, including tracking hearing aid sales, deliveries, and vendor communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on audiology and/or hearing aid fitting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS within 60 days of hire. ACLS may be required by specialty.
  • Current Hearing Aid Dispenser license is required.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Pay

Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: $26.40 - $35.72 per hour.

Schedule

This role is located at the Gateway Medical Office Building. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, (8:00 am-5:00 pm).
