Healthcare Support Worker

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Healthcare Support worker in Ward 1 at Cameron Hospital. Ward 1 is part of the Recovery and Adaptation Unit, which provides rehabilitation for older people and facilitates complex discharge planning in the community hospital setting. The role involves developing skills in medicine of the elderly, working closely with the multi‑disciplinary team to promote a positive patient journey, and joining an established, experienced nursing team. A keen interest and motivation for caring for older people and rehabilitation is essential.

Requirements

• Become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
• Demonstrate the right to work in the United Kingdom (e.g., appropriate visa, EU settled or pre‑settled status) as verified by NHS Scotland pre‑employment checks.
