Health Care Support Worker

About the role

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen to join the well-established nursing team within the Endoscopy Unit at Perth Royal Infirmary. This busy department provides a five-day service providing diagnostic and therapeutic services for a variety of investigations including Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, Gastroscopy, Bronchoscopy and EBUS, for both out-patients and in-patients. We are looking for an individual who will enjoy working in a challenging environment.

Responsibilities

• A large part of the Health Care Support Worker roles involves the decontamination of endoscopes.
• There may be a requirement to travel and work at Ninewells Endoscopy Unit.
• Work as part of the Unit team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective care for patients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in endoscope decontamination would be an advantage.
