About the Role
As a Health Care Specialist, you will provide emergency and ongoing medical care to civilians after natural disasters and to Soldiers in various situations. You will treat injuries, manage medical readiness, supplies, and equipment, and instruct Soldiers in first responder techniques.
Responsibilities
- Administer emergency medical treatment to casualties
- Assist with outpatient and inpatient care
- Train Soldiers in Combat Lifesaver/First Responder courses
- Manage medical supplies, equipment, and readiness
Skills & Qualifications
You will develop patient care techniques, advanced medical skills, and plaster casting. Helpful skills include strong communication, attention to detail, and a caring nature.
- Certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians is required
- Enlistment in the Army National Guard
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Age between 17-35
- Meet physical and moral standards
- Citizenship eligibility
